There’s something unsettling about innocence dressed for death. George Stinney Jr. was 14. Too young to vote, too young to drive. Old enough to be sentenced to death. Accused, tried, and executed in the span of 84 days. They said he did it. The evidence said otherwise.
Years later, his name was cleared. But not before the damage.
This painting isn’t about guilt or innocence. It’s about how easily a child can be forgotten if we let them. The wings aren’t just symbolic. They’re a protest, a prayer, a refusal to let his story vanish quietly.
Some pieces are meant to match the couch.
This one is meant to make you stop.
